Music to brighten the New Year!
A concert in the Unitarian Church, Horsham
Friday 30th January 2015 at 7:30 p.m. A concert to make light of the
New Year, raising funds for Ashraya Nepal - a charity providing accommodation
for underprivileged children, particularly girls, orphans, and children
from the lower castes - so that they can obtain access to further education,
which would otherwise not be possible for them.
The Unitarian Church - one of Horsham's oldest buildings, dating back
to 1721 - has wonderful acoustics and it is difficult to think of a
better atmosphere in which to enjoy a cosy evening of lively and beautiful
music.
Music by Morricone, Brahms, Massenet, Schubert, Gounod, Saint-Saens
and Toselli, traditional folk songs, parlour songs, happy songs, sad
songs.
Thanks to everyone who came - sorry it was so crowded - we raised £551!!!
