At last we can report that the home in Kathmandu has been set up. Two
girls, Rachana and Namuna moved in on 28 April. They have come from Dhanusa
where they have suffered the consequences of the conflict that is present
in the Terai. The other two girls Priya and Nilu will move in later in
the week. The purpose is to provide a secure environment and the facilities
to advance their education.
We have been able to offer help to a junior school in Dhanusa (see the December newsletter). A
junior school in Brixham very kindly donated football shirts, Nonsuch
in Cheam gave a variety of very useful classroom materials. Money donated by Tower House was
used to buy some sports equipment in Nepal for the school.
